Competition of divalent metal ions with monovalent metal Ions on the adsorption on water-soluble polymers

Water-soluble polymers are treated with metal ions as surface phenomena in which different metal species compete with each other to blind to the polymer surface. A change in the rate of release of divalent metal ions by the polymer is detected, which is attributable to a change in the polymer conformation.
