Abstract
- The efficacy of mononucleotide repeats (MNR) in phylogentic studies and strain identification in Escherichia coli is examined. MNR loci facilitates in determining the phylogenetic relationships, provides higher sequence variation and can be used in diagnostics, epidemiology and evolutionary study of bacteria.
