Mixed micelles of triton X-100 and cetyl trimethylammonium bromide in aqueous solution studied by (super 1)H NMR

Abstract: Triton X-100 (TX-100) molecules coaggregate with cetyl trimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) molecules in aqueous solutions. In uniformly mixed solutions of TX-100 and CTAB, mixed micelles were formed and it was observed that there was interaction between the hydrophobic protons and hydrophilic protons of the 2 surfactants.
