Abstract

An aluminosilicate neodymium-doped fiber laser tunable in the 0.9-Mum wavelength range was studied for spectroscopic and tuning characteristics. A W-type core refractive index profile facilitated operation on the 0.9- Mum three-level transition in neodymium-doped double-clad fiber laser.
