Preparation and properties of cyclopentadienyl- and pentamethylcyclopentadienyl-titanium(IV) complexes with the C8H4S8 ligand, electrical conductivities of their oxidized species, and X-ray crystal structure of Ti(C5Me5)(sub 2)(C8H4S8)

Some of the C5H5- and C5Me5-titanium(IV) complexes with the C8H4S8 ligand is prepared and their electrochemistry and spectroscopies are studied. The crystal structure of Ti(C5Me5)(sub 2)(C8H4S8) is clarified to consist of isolated dimerized units of the molecules through some sulfur-sulfur nonbonded contacts.
