Abstract

The role of large number of web cameras connected to the Internet as a means of surveillance and control of everyday life is discussed. It is reported that the webcams reveal aspects of everyday life through senses of thisness, duree, awareness, embodiment, and care as everyday life is caught up in and constituted by intertwined networks of care and control.
