Abstract

The significant reduction in cost of anti-retroviral therapy vindicates the decision of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) activists to mark intellectual property (IP) rights as a crucial front in the fight against AIDS. The World Trade Organization's Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property (TRIPS) and its impact on fight against AIDS is discussed.
