Abstract

Investigating Ni substrates by the powder metallurgy method and evaluated the effects of pressure distribution such as uniaxial pressure and cold isostatic, pressure (CIP) to the compact and the effects of the annealing time on the texturing and microstructure of the substrate is discussed. The development of strong cube texture and high fraction of low angle grain boundaries of Ni-substrates made by powder metallurgy technique is considered useful in the deposition of YBCO coated conductors.
