Abstract
- Investigating the finite element method (FEM) used to discuss the hydrostatic extrusion of Nb/bronze mono-core rods and to compute the stress, strain and temperature distribution in the billet is presented. It shows that the peak temperature occurs at the surface of the billet and a larger extrusion ratio corresponds to a higher peak temperature.
