Determination of the optical constants of the gama-phase GdH(sub 3) thin films

Abstract

The optical transmission spectroscopy of the gadolinium trihydrides GdH(sup 3) for the spectral range from 0.05 to 6 eV is investigated. The analysis indicates that GdH(sub 3) is a wide-gap semiconductor with an energy gap of 2.55 eV.
