Transition from a single-domain to a multidomain state in mesoscopic ferromagnetic Co structures

A systematic study of the single-domain to multidomain transition for small rectangular Co structures using magnetic force microscopy (MFM) is presented. The findings indicate that the transition depends on the size as well as the aspect ratio of the structures.
