Optical and electronic properties of TiC(sub x)N(sub y) films

The pseudodielectric function of TiC(sub x)N(sub y) thin films was measured and analyzed in terms of a Drude model as a function of the film stoichiometry. Plasma energy, reflectivity, and optical resistivity are observed to depend on the stoichiometry, enabling certain tunability of these properties.
