Abstract
- The face-centered-tetragonal (fct) antiferromagnetic phase is a necessary condition for exchange biasing the thickness of the antiferromagnetic layer, which determines the magnitude and the thermal stability of exchange biasing in exchange biased F/AF systems. The blocking temperature solely depends on the quality of the antiferromagnetic phase since thinning of the antiferromagnetic layer thickness does not affect the local blocking temperature distribution.
