Writing performance of narrow trackwidth single pole perpendicular heads

The writing performance of narrow trackwidth single pole heads was studied on double layer perpendicular media. The MFM study suggests that the deep submicron track width single pole head exhibits a potential for achieving a recording density of more than 50 Gbit/in (super 2).
