Role of the rare-earth on the electrical and magnetic properties of cobalt perovskites

The magnetic and electrical properties of R(sub 1-x)Sr(sub x)CoO(sub 3) materials (R=La, Pr, Nd, Gd) (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.50) are studied. Two main parameters are altered upon substitutions at the rare-earth site that are the ionic radius, and the magnetic site of the R(super 3+) ion.
