Abstract

Corporate performance can be enhanced and corporate goals can be achieved by manipulatingfunctions within an organization's culture. Organizational culture is composed of three main factors. These are basic assumptions, beliefs and values and artefacts. The first two factors refer to intellectual and emotional cultural patterns while the third are physical objects which determine cultural values. Other factors which influence corporate culture are stories, myths and organizational symbolisms. Cultural patterns can be used to convey to employeesthe performance and behavior expected of them.
