Tri-s-triazine and its nitrogen isoelectronic equivalents: An ab initio study

A brief discussion on nitrogen isoelectronic equivalents of tri-s-triazine that are obtained from successive replacement of CH groups by nitrogen atoms, is presented. The results reveal that all the species have a rigid planar structure and a conjugation system over the tricyclic ring, which is beneficial to their stabilities.
