Abstract

A recombinant human wild-type p53-induced phosphatase (rWip1) was prepared to identify the substrate specificity of Wip1. rWip1 showed properties that were comparable to those of protein phosphatase 2Calpha in terms of affinity for Mg(super 2+), insensitivity to okadaic acid, and threonine dephosphorylation.
