Today, investors of a particular company are breaking the conventional rule of being complacent. They have come from an era where they were unwilling to accept changes in the companies they own, to one where they are now receptive to mergers, change of management and, accountability for poor performance. This is a precaution that CEOs have to consider as well as accept as they manage investor activism.
