Abstract

Bank of England (BOE) is overhauling its present system of implementation of monetary policy. The salient aspects of these reforms are discussed. Presently, BOE implements the interest rate decisions of its Monetary Policy Committee in its money market operations without compromising on the liquidity needs of the banking system, thereby ensuring stability of the system.
