Structural basis for the retroreduction of inactivated peroxiredoxins by human sulfiredoxin

Human sulfiredoxin (Srx) exhibits a new protein fold and a novel nucleotide binding motif containing the consensus two-Cys peroxiredoxins (Prx). The features and the conformational flexibility of the Prxs suggest that specific interactions are made between human Srx and the typical two-Cys Prxs.
