Abstract
- A study was done on two members of a widely expressed subfamily of hormone-stimulated adenylyl cyclases. It was shown that the cDNA encoding a hormone- and guanine nucleotide-stimulated adenylyl cyclase is stimulated by forskolin but not by betagamma subunits of guanine nucleotide-binding proteins. Another form was cloned and together with the type 5 enzyme define one distinct subfamily of mammalian adenylyl cyclases.
