Chemtura's future: CEO Bob Wood has big plans for newly launched specialty chemical company

Robert L. Wood, new president and chief executive officer of struggling Crompton Corp. announced a merger with a major competitor, Great Lakes Chemical, and the formation of a new company called Chemtura, just fourteen months after his appointment. His plan is to apply at Chemtura the same restructuring techniques he did at Crompton to create the world's best specialty chemicals company.
