Abstract
- The involvement of tyrosine kinases in the transduction of synapse-inducing signalswas investigated. A muscle homologous but densely innervated tissue, Torpedo californica, was subjected to polymerase chain reaction. Northern blots were probed with antisense RNA probes. A receptor tyrosine kinase specifically expressed in both electric organ and skeletal muscles was isolated.
