Abstract

A parametric method and a nonparametric method for the identification of traveling flexural vibrations are presented and these methods are complemented by a tuning stage capable of generating traveling waves for a wide range of excitation frequencies. It is observed that the low efficiency, in terms of mechanical response level to electrical input power, is a consequent of inexistence of resonance when pure traveling waves are tuned.
