Nearly four-in-ten expect Campbell and Mulroney governments to be identical

Nearly 40% of Canadians polled in a Gallup survey conducted June 22-July 3, 1993, believe that economic and social policies would not be affected by Kim Campbell's election as Prime Minister. Over half of those polled expected the government to differ somewhat or greatly under Campbell's leadership. The fact that many Canadians expect little change is not surprising since Campbell was part of Mulroney's cabinet. Campbell received higher approval ratings than her party, the Progressive Conservatives.
