Abstract
- Streamlined methods using proteolysis and reporter-coenzyme A analogues of four types are employed to enable the selective detection of peptides containing active site serine. Each active site peptide is quickly detected using Fourier transform mass spectrometry and further knowledge about digestion heterogeity and side reactions due to a mass shift signature on each active site peptide are gained.
