Abstract: A sound field calculation for the 256-element spherical-section phased array and an optimization algorithm for the focus patterns of phased array ultrasound surgery are studied. The simulation results proved that the combined method is practically effective in focus pattern control for spherical-section phased array ultrasound surgery.
