Abstract
- The hydrothermal reaction of Ni(NO(sub 3))(sub 2), NaN(sub 3), and nicotinic acid (Hnic) yielded a 3-D supramolecular framework complex, [Ni(sub 1.50(N(sub 3))(nic)(sub 2)(Hnic)](sub n) with unusual magnetic properties. In [Ni(sub 1.50(N(sub 3))(nic)(sub 2)(Hnic)](sub n), Hnic and nic(super -1) coexist and show different coordination modes and azide group adopt mu-1,1 (EO) bridging mode linking Ni(super II) ions with an unusual Ni-N-Ni angle.
