Flow-driven particle impact erosion: asking the right questions

Various critical aspects of flow-driven particle impact erosion (PIE) are discussed. Undesirable PIE must be eradicated through the maximization of resistance to wear and the alteration of critical parameters of erosive particle-fluid suspensions. There solutions must be tackled stochastically, using the Lagrangian solution of the particle motion. Lastly, the significance of the different components of PIE must be determined.
