Abstract

The reaction between CuCl2, Cu(OAc)2, and CuSO4 and two different bipyridylurea ligands are conducted and the crystal structures of the resulting metal-organic assemblies are determined. The results demonstrate that the geometry and the size of the anions together with their coordinating and hydrogen bonding properties are essential in determining the final structures of the assemblies.
