Abstract

Architects Richard Giegengack and D.C. Broadstone II added two wings to a Georgian-style house in Dallas in order to accommodate large family rooms as well as a first-class library. The 6,000-square-foot, double-height library is grand in scale, fitting for the owners' museum-quality collection of documents, arts and antiques and architects and designer John Phifer Marrs conceived it with a coffered ceiling and inlaid-wood floors.
