Abstract

The surface and interface structure of YBa2Cu3[O.sub.(7-delta)/[La.sub.(0.67)][Ca.sub.(0.33)]Mn[O.sub.3]/YBa2Cu3[O.sub.(7-delta)] (YBCO/LCMO/YBCO) trilayers which were deposited on (001) SrTiO3 single crystal substrate are presented by means of glancing incident x-ray reflectivity and atomic force microscopy. The observed variance of room-mean-square (rms) roughness of surface and interface in the trilayers with the thickness of YBCO layer indicates that the rms toughness was correlative to the status of the mismatch strain in the YBCO layer.
