Abstract
- A novel technique is presented to disperse pristine single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) in water by ultrasonication in the presence of a thiolated organosilane and subsequent ultracentrifugation. The results have shown that these dispersed SWNTs would be an excellent scaffold for the realization of supramolecular nanoassemblies useful for a variety of applications ranging from nanoelectronics to drug delivery systems.
