Abstract
- A study was conducted to determine the effect of physical education class enrollment and physical activity on academic achievement in middle school children. Although students did not perform better academically during the semester that they were enrolled in physical education, the results indicate that they did not show a decrease in academic achievement compared with students who received an extra hour of academic instruction per day.
