Abstract
- An investigation of the redox reactivity of thymine glycol lesions in DNA and influence of such a base modification on the efficiency of excess electron transfer (EET) through the duplex DNA is described. The findings reveal the prospect of reductive repair of thymine glycol in DNA and implications of DNA mediated EET with respect to DNA base damage reactions.
