Abstract

In this paper a new numerical technique is proposed for the solution of nonlinear systems of equations. The techniques presented here are based on a Modification algorithm, and it has been employed to improve the numerical efficiency of harmonic balance-based frequency domain circuit simulator (Spectre). This technique exhibits high computational efficiency and rate of convergence, presenting its best performance in case of strong nonlinearities and high integration level. To validate the convergence properties of this technique, some simulations were performed and the results were compared with those obtained using Newton and Newton-Samanskii methods.
