Abstract
- The relationship between behavioral intentions and the turnover of salespeople is studied through the testing of three turnover models of Mobley. The chosen model predicts that the thought of quitting predicts intention of leaving; the intention of leaving would predict the intention to search for jobs and the intention to search would predict a turnover. It was concluded that researchers should study the determinants of searching for another job separately from the intention of leaving. Salespeople may actually have the intention of quitting and yet stay on the job for an indefinite period of time.
