Abstract

Airline stocks generally make money only for agile traders, but in October 2006 it appears that it may be time for investors to reconsider their aversion to these stocks as carriers cut costs, shrink capacity and look forward to lower fuel prices. Analysts believe the outlook for 2007 looks bright, baring a sharp economic slowdown, and in fact it would be the most profitable year ever for airlines.
