Abstract
- Studies of tripalladium-cluster isocyanide and diisocyanide complexes reveal that a 42-electron configuration is formed with triply-bridging isocyanides. The complexes differ from platinum analogs that possess 44-electron configurations with terminal isocyanides. The nickel complexes have a 48-electron configuration with triply-bridging isocyanides. The NMR spectra reveal broad resonances for the Ch2P2 and ligand methyl resonances.
