Child support and second families: which family comes first?

Abstract: The influence of the present marital status of mothers on the payment of child support was assessed from reports of child support payment from non-custodial fathers as well as child support receipts compiled by custodial mothers. Child support receipt and payment were affected when the parents remarry and organize their second families.
