Abstract
- The use of drug-eluting stents (DESS) in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs) in Victorian public hospitals, where DESS were implanted in patients having high risk of restenosis based on the guidelines of the Department of Human Services is described. The findings observed that more use of DESS in these patients can improve outcomes by reducing the need for repeat revascularization.
