Probing the interaction of poly(vinylpyrrolidone) with platinum nanocrystals by UV-Raman and FTIR

Abstract: A deep UV-Raman and FTIR spectroscopy is used to investigate the vibrational spectra of platinum nanoparticles capped with poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) and compared with pure PVP. It is concluded that under oxidizing conditions, both PVP/ Pt and PVP degrade to form amorphous carbon.
