Abstract
- The synthesis, structure determination and sorption properties ([H.sub.2], C[O.sub.2], C[H.sub.4], and [N.sub.2]) of the metal-naphthalene-1,4,5,8-tetracarboxylate complex [Cr.sub.3.sup.III]O[([H.sub.2]O).sub.2]F[{[C.sub.10][H.sub.4][(C[O.sub.2]).sub.4]}.sub.1.5].6[H.sub.2]O, containing trivalent chromium (MIL-102) are described. MIL-102 is a new example of a porous chromium carboxylate that has a trimeric inorganic subnetwork, shows zeolite behavior with no pore contraction and has a small hydrogen storage capacity.
