Abstract
- Clifton's contention that elements-of-reality with pre-existing values in quantum mechanics have to be contextual and nonlocal is erroneous. Although proof was presented for the case of a spin-1 system, the example considered only eight of the value assignments. It is shown that the contextuality of elements-of-reality with pre-existing values can be proven by using only seven values.
