The Labour we delight in

The new Labour party with Tony Blair as leader has recently had a favourable reception by the press. Journalists are excited at the prospect of a new Labour government. Many journalists like Blair, as do their readers. No Labour backbenchers or frontbenchers are willing to criticise Blair publicly, because they do not want to cause trouble. They are optimistic about winning the next election. The party is, however, worried about Blair's Christianity providing bad public relations stories.
