Abstract
- The Principles and Standards for School Mathematics (NCTM 2000) states that students must learn mathematics by actively building new knowledge from experience and prior knowledge. Introduction of mathematical topics, and the use of strategies of discovering, proving and verifying, can help students develop a meaningful understanding of mathematics.
