Abstract

The New York Times is in the process of formulating standard procedures to assist it in the development of specifications for its new manufacturing plant, according to VP David Thurm. The newspaper is looking at every aspect of its production, from the mechanical aspects to the human resources aspects and putting together documents for bids that leave little to chance.
