Massachusetts based ArQule plans to exit the contract chemistry service business in order to focus on developing its oncology portfolio. ArQule decision stems from the fact that chemistry services have become fiercely competitive due to the onslaught of companies based in India, Russia and China where salaries for the chemists are much lower than the U.S.
