Abstract
- The self-assembly of penta-segmentation organic molecules of the general structure A-B-A-B-A or B-A-B-A-B, where A is a hydrophilic polyether and B is a hydrophobic carbon chain, is examined. The results have shown that the segmentation can have a dramatic effect upon solute properties, including solubility, propensity to self-assemble, aggregation number, and cooperativity.
